About Me

Join me for Vinyasa-style flow, Yin Yoga, and Restorative/Meditation practice. My classes shake up, move around and balance out the different energies felt in the body over the course of the yearly cycle. Students in my classes move and breathe with a focus on grounding and the compassion and support to discover what feels good in their bodies. My creative, alignment-based sequences build upon an energetic theme and encourage students to explore the same shape in different and playful ways throughout class.

I lived and taught middle school in New York City from 2008-2018. I called many studios in Brooklyn home during my early years living there, including Area Yoga, Prema Yoga and Greenhouse Holistic. Over the summer of 2013, I completed my initial 200-hour training with Dana Trixie Flynn, Mary Dana Abbott, Ali Cramer and Sheri Celentano at Laughing Lotus in Manhattan. Following training, I began a 300-hour course of study at Goodyoga in Brooklyn, assisting, teaching and learning alongside a group of amazing teachers who continue to inspire me to this day. I began teaching at Tangerine Yoga with Tamara Behar in 2017, and continue to teach at this beautiful studio from time to time when I visit the city. In Portland, I teach yoga at The Portland Yoga Project and Lila East End Yoga. I also teach a chair yoga class through the Refugee & Immigrant Services branch of Catholic Charities, which is a great joy in my life.

While completing my 300-hour studies at Goodyoga, I practiced Thai Massage, learned beginner Sanskrit, and took many deep dives into the Yoga Sutras, the subtle body, hands-on assists, using essential oils, and Ayurveda. Since 2013, I have followed the call to develop my passions and completed trainings in the harmonium, mantra and chanting, as well as a 25-hour Restorative Yoga training at Laughing Lotus, a week spent practicing and learning Kundalini Yoga on Koh Tao in Thailand, a 20-hour Yin Yoga training with Thomas Drogue and Megan Moss Freeman at the Pathfinder Institute in NYC, and most recently, a 50-hour Ayurveda for Women’s Health training with Ali Cramer at Laughing Lotus. My studies in Ayurveda continue to inform my practice across vinyasa, yin, and restorative yoga. I have so much gratitude for the amazing, gracious teachers who have shared their wisdom with me over the years, and I work to honor this wisdom through my own practice every day.

I love to travel and have practiced yoga in Thailand, Japan, India, Iceland, and Costa Rica. An avid adventurer and student by nature, I dream of continuing my studies in Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Mantra, and Meditation. I also love to follow the course of the moon and offer a Lunar Rhythm training alongside Kelley Voegelin in Portland. Other passions include painting and collaging, dancing, music (catch me DJing!), gardening and cooking, working with children, hiking and writing poetry.
